Self-Leveling Concrete

Repair or renew concrete floors.

Self-leveling Concrete is a versatile, strong material which is used to make existing floors smoother, flatter, stable and more water resistant. Self-Leveling Concrete comes in two forms: underlayment and overlayment.

Underlayment

Underlayment material is used to level uneven, grooved, and/or heavily pitted floors in order to make them stable, flat and suitable for installation of sheet vinyl, vinyl tile, ceramic tile, hardwood or carpet. Underlayment coatings may vary in depth from feather edge to depths of 2 inches.

Overlayment

Overlayment or ‘wear-top’ concrete topping can be used to provide a floor with an entirely new, flat surface that can be polished, coloured, epoxied as desired. Numerous types of concrete overlayment are available which can be applied to depths of featheredge to 2-3 inches.

Ask us what we can to enhance your floor. We are certified installers of Ardex self leveling products and have a great deal of experience in both surface preparation and final surface finishes.

Why Use Self-Leveling Concrete?

A smoother, flatter, uniform floor is not just a ‘prettier’ floor. A new Self-Leveled floor will provide a stronger floor which will also satisfy warranty requirements for final floor solutions such as carpet installation and epoxy finishes.

Self-Leveling Concrete may be mixed with coloured dyes and aggregate to create unique floor designs and provide a base for other finishes such as acid staining.
